About Dogtur
Dogtur is an independent guide for people caring for aging dogs. We exist because senior dogs are underserved: most pet content is written for puppies and prime-age adults, while the questions that come with a gray muzzle — arthritis, appetite changes, cognitive decline, end-of-life decisions — get thin, generic answers.
What we do
- Research-first guides. Every guide is built from deep research — attributed test findings, verified owner reviews, and veterinary guidance — framed around what to ask your vet.
- Research-based reviews, testing on the roadmap. Review picks today come from attributed independent testing, verified owner-review analysis, and spec verification — never presented as our own tests. Hands-on testing with real senior dogs is the next step, and we'll say so plainly when it begins.
- No miracle claims. We don't promise cures, rank by commission, or publish health content without vet-aware framing.
What we are not
Dogtur is not a veterinary authority. Health content on this site describes signs to discuss with your veterinarian — it never diagnoses your dog, prescribes dosages, or replaces professional care. See our editorial policy for the full rules.
How we make money
Dogtur is reader-supported. Some links on review and comparison pages are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence rankings or verdicts. Full details on the affiliate disclosure page.
